To any of my friends, it is no secret that I change a lot. And I don’t just mean my clothes.
Recently, I downloaded the app TimeHop for a laugh. But upon downloading and receiving my Facebook statuses and photos over the past five years, I realized just how much I have changed.
But, today I saw an image of myself from five years ago, which led me to have a scroll through some old photos on Facebook. I’ll be kind and only show you a few:
8 July 2009
29 June 2010
26 October 2010
5 September 2011
2 October 2011
3 Jan 2012

Five years later, I’m not the same girl wearing baseball caps and shades indoors. I know I’m not cool, or beautiful, but I am proud. I’m proud of how I turned my life around from a girl who was on the wrong path, to a woman with books to her name and words in her heart.
I’ll keep changing, and growing but now – it’s for the better.
Sorry, this is a bit of a self-reflective piece, but I hope it helps you realize that change can be for the better.
My Readwave.com article is Trending!
I couldn’t believe it – I woke up and I had all these emails (as per usual) and then ReadWave emailed saying I was Trending!
… I’m far too excited about this….
Anyway! Check out the article here, or to see my previous post about Readwave.com click here.
Have a Happy Friday!
A little update into my writing life:
After the failure that was my Medium.com attempt (SIDE NOTE: That is why I started this blog!) I have decided to delve into social media writing once again, and have joined Read Wave.
ResdWave is very sleek and user-friendly, which is great news for writers everywhere! It is hard to find a good platform for your work, and when you are a self-published writer, places like ReadWave are perfect for displaying your writing.
My first article was…
Why Facebook Are No Longer the Cool Kids of Social Media
My second was…
Why Being A Writer In The 21st Century Is Hard
Please keep an eye on my Twitter for updates about my ReadWave page, as I have a lot to say and share with the world, and would love it if you continue to follow me on my journey that is The Writing World.
