So, I get to work today and one of the supervisors comes over for a chat, and to steal my sticky tape. Then we got on to the topic of my books (he seemed rather impressed). And as a half-joke, he said I should write a zombie book about the department store we work in.
And now I can’t get the idea out of my head. I don’t think there’s enough plot to cover 40,000 pages, but I think I’ve got enough for a darn good short story.
So, here’s the plot outline – tell me what you think:
Title: Department Store Zombies
Plot: When the boredom of Sunday afternoon shopping becomes too much, the customers in a department store become flesh-eating, cardigan-wearing Zombies! The staff are unarmed against the Zombie take over (thanks to Health and Safety) so they have to defend themselves with the very products they’ve been trying to sell. But what’s a better weapon: a candelabra or a four-wheeled cabin suitcase? Let’s find out!
